Severe dental phobia

    Hi all,

So after a terrible experience at the dentist about 11 years ago I haven't been to one since.

I always took pretty good care of my teeth but over the last couple of months I've started to notice some minor issues which I continually put off due to my fear.

They've now progressed quite badly and I definitely need to get some treatment on my gums. I really can't put it off anymore but even the thoughts of ringing a dentist to make an appointment nearly genuinely gives me nightmares and anxiety attacks.

Does anyone have any dentist recommendations? I'm based in Galway but will travel no problem for the right one.

Preferably one with a payment plan as I can see this being extremely expensive

Try **recommendations by PM only/no names on main forum**I had my teeth done there before. They gave me some Valium tablets to calm me down
and played some relaxing trance music it was brilliant. I Never felt a thing it was a great experience overall.

The only thing is it can be quite pricey but its well worth it.

I had an appointment for 2 hours, it was really good and the staff are very friendly there too.

I too have very bad dental phobia and I must say I'm due another trip soon.

Overall its was a great experience.

    Best of luck
