    Hi guys,
Just wondering if you could recommend someone to do insulation in our house in limerick county.
Dormer house , so attic and crawl spaces seem to be the issue and very hard to keep heat in the house, so just looking for recommendations for companies that you may have used and who did a good job.
    Thanks

very few if any builders/insulation folk know how to do this work PROPERLY in a dormer type house.
The only proper way to do it is strip the roof and sort out the eaves with ventilation baffles
rather than f***ing around with the knee walls and the residual flat ceiling piece, add additional insulation between and across the roof rafters, use breathable felt and counter batten:
you will need more roof tiles and perhaps planning for increasing the roof height.
    have a look here

and consider decrement delay for solar heat gain
