    Right,

Not sure where I should have posted this so Mods feel free to relocate this post if need be.

So Israel have shot down a Syrian plane after said plane violated Israeli airspace.
But if that airspace is over a Disputed Territory, then Surely Israel had Absolutely No Right Whatso-ever To Shoot Down That Plane?

If I am incorrect then please reply below.

Israel can do what it wants because it has international Jewish backing.

Israel has occupied the Golan Heights and has enforced a strict border air space control over the area since 1967.
Posession is after all 9/10ths of the law ;)
Whether the land is israeli or not is fairly moot, an aircraft of an avowed anti Israeli state crossed the de facto border as declared and enforced by Israel was shot down by Israeli missiles.
Calling it disputed territory is a misnomer, the territory has not been meaningfully disputed by the Syrians since the Bekaa valley incursion of the early 80's. Syria has neither the means nor the will to "dispute" the heights and doing so would lead to open warfare with the Israeli's which is not a fight the Syrian's now, let alone when they were "pre" Civil War.
The Israeli's occupy the land, they took the land in what was a fairly brilliant example of forward defence and assault in'67 and held it in the Yom Kippur war when a subsequent counter attack that but for Soviet intervention could easily have led to the fall of Damascus.
Right of conquest isn't really on point or cool anymore ;) but if the Syrian's want to dispute control of the Golan, I'd only ask that they let our boys pull out of the area before the Israeli's hand Syria their arse!
It's not a crossfire we want to be in the middle of!

Israel gets away with whatever they want to do. They have US backing, so they get to act like Nazis, create an apartheid state, shoot civilians, rain missiles down on rock throwers, assassinate people in other countries using Irish passports, etc. etc.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.
