Hi, anyone have a recommendation for a stand mixer that isn't too expensive but is still reliable? In a world where I'm a millionaire there'd be a Kitchen Aid on its way to me, but alas. TIA :)

I went for a Kenwood Chef in the classic style. My mum’s had one for 50 years, so I have a lot of faith in the brand. Here’s hoping mine lasts 50!

I second the Kenwood Chef, great built quality.

I'll third this - my husband gave me one some 10 years ago, still going strong! And it's being used nearly daily.

I'm currently saving for a KitchenAid but in the mean time the Aldi (& Lidl - friend has that one) version is doing pretty good. It generally appears 3 or 4 times a year. I've had mine for about 3 years now and it's not let me down. I got it initially as wasn't sure how much I'd use it and didn't want to go expensive straight off.

I know a friend of mine who swore by the Morphy Richards one as well.

Another vote for the Kenwood Chef - mine is now 35 years old :)

Kenwood Chef. It's not only reliable but will last years. Mine in almost daily use and always works like a trooper.
