Fly Fishing using a Spinning Rod set up

Hey everyone, I am just wondering if it is allowed at fly fishing lakes to cast a fly using a spinning rod and reel?

The rig is usually a bubble bobber hald filled with water, with a 6 foot leader and your fly on the end.

I have some friends who cant fly fish and this seems like a great method to help them ''dip their toe'' into the world of fishing.

    Thanks

If the lakes are fly only then I presume they wont let you "bubble fly" - It isnt allowed on fly only rivers so I presume it wouldnt be on lakes.

Ring the lake in question though and ask!
