Hi - I am in hospital in Belfast and hoped to watch the 2 GAA matches today on RTE2 but the TV doesn't get RTE

Anyone know of a way getting to see the games on my phone or tablet  I have been looking and the only thing I saw was GAAGO but they are charging €14 for each match which is a bit dear

Appreciate it if anyone knows a free or cheaper alternative

Sorry for posting too late for you but any TV with inbuilt Freeview HD tuner should receive RTE in Belfast area via what is known as NIMM from Black Mountain or Carnmoney. It is SD only but still easily gettable.
As for legal streaming options apart from the one you refer to I don't know of any.

Hi - thanks for the reply anyway. I did try retuning the TV in the hospital but no luck so I presume it wasn't a HD Turner so had to make do with radio

    Thanks

A TV in a hospital mightn't have a direct connection to an aerial at all.

I was thinking that was a possibility but I was able to retune the TV to see if it picked up more channels

Anyway I am not planning to be in hospital for the next round of Super 8s in two weeks. Looks like I missed a great game with the Monaghan v Kerry

    Thanks again for all contributions

I wonder if a €10 DVB-T dongle with the usual tiny aerial would have been good enough to pick it up and show on a laptop? (or is it DVB-T2?)
