looking at putting in driveway lighting when im doing my kerbing, think about these guys

what other lighting solution are people using, I have about 150 metres of drive way to light

Was also thinking about getting these bollards with built in sensors, or maybe connecting these up to maybe 2 motion sensors around the drive to trigger them on

They are not a bad light fitting I have fitted a few in driveways now. They are more of a soft light off them witch I prefer. W would suggest a photo cell with a over ride switch to make the most out of them

We have 5x10W LED lamps along approximately 100 meters of driveway, triggered by a motion sensor at either end.
They're set to run for 2 minutes or so, which seems to be plenty of time for traffic to come and go.
Our electrician set it all up so I don't know the details of the wiring, but I do know there's a 4-core cable buried along the full length of the drive to the outer sensor.
We can also manually switch the whole lot on full time, but very rarely do so.

Added:
Oh yeah, if you're going to be burying cables along your driveway, consider laying a power supply for stuff like an electric gate and/or an outdoor socket out there too.
Also, consider ducting or cable for intercom/cctv.

It's not the most elegant installation, but here you go:

This is where the 4-core SWA emerges at the outer end:

There's a cable to the outer motion sensor, an isolator switch for the electric gate, and an IP67 16A socket.

A pair of LED lamps:

There are actually 7 lamps in total, spread over the outer 70-80 meters of the drive. The inner bit is well illuminated from the house.

@tech how did this go for you? I was looking at https://www.onlinelightingshop.com/products/sauro-800mm-small-bollard-light.html, the Robus one looks good. I've a short driveway and was considering 3 bollards....not really sure how they would look....

If using a photocell and/or motion sensor I recommend that you install switches so that you can over-ride both ways - i.e. force them all on and force them all off. Much easier to do it during install rather than come back to it later.

Wondering can anyone in the now advise of how many lumens / what wattage would be preferable if you want to throw light onto a lawned area from raised bed walls. I want the lawn to be lit up to an extent as opposed to having little guiding lights along the perimeter. Its only a small garden but looking at the likes of...
