Hot water cylinder possible problem

Hi everyone, I know zero about plumbing so please bear with me. The pressure seems very low out of the hot water tap in our kitchen and I wondered if this meant that there might be a problem with the culinder. How would I be able to tell whether or not the HW cylinder was full or was leaking?( hope that's not a daft…
