Would you be in favor of penalties for passengers of cars who put themselves at risk?

Over the past few years I have seen a few cases in the news where people willing got into a vehicle with a drunk driver(and they knew they were drunk), got into an overloaded car, traveled in a vehicle with somebody who had no licence, NCT, insurance and failed to even wear their own seat belt.
I saw a case some time ago two friends got into a car with a drunk driver. Neither of them wore seatbelts. They car was involved in a crash and both of the friends died. The driver was jailed. A victim impact statement/etc all really focused on the actions of the driver and how evil he was but not on the actions of passengers.
Would you be in favor of seeing people getting driving bans/fined for being the passenger in a car when the driver is over the limit?
Same goes with other offences no licence, insurance, etc. Now I know some of these would be hard to prove.

Isn't it already the responsibility of the driver to ensure their passengers are wearing seatbelts.

Just for under 17's. Well that's all you can be fined for.*I think)

Really??? I thought it was a case of you’re driving - you’re in charge.

Yes I am in favour of the ever tightening clamp of the nanny state

Well from what I know you only receive points if the passenger is under 17.

Only if the passengers are minors is the driver responsible, I believe.

If an adult passenger does not wear a seatbelt the adult passenger is responsible for their own behaviour and can be fined, not the driver.

More enforcement of existing rules is needed, not more rules.

I am referring to people who are caught in cars where the above offences are happening.
I just don't think they should make angels out of people.
