Hi. My old Grundig sky box that I had linked from kitchen to dish giving me the freesat channels finally gave up on me!! It was my original Sky disk and so must be 22 yrs old!!!!

Anyway... what can I use by plugging the cable into to continue to get freesat

I have an old 'brown' Sky HD box tha came after the Grundig but then replaced by Sky+ BOx. What can that do for me?????

First thing is plug it in and see what you get. Not really an ideal replacement for the Grundig Freesat box.

This current Manhattan SX Freesat box would be a similar replacement - https://www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat/boxes/sx-manhattan, note: HDMI output only, no scart output (edit: there is a scart adapter included).

    Available from https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07CD8GHFF/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_1_w , £50

Many thanks for the reply...... just a quick stupid question...do I just attach the cable from the satellite dish to the back??? Will it take the satellite f- connectors (screw on Ines)?? Then hdmi from box to tv????

Are channels same as current Grundig setip??? E.g. 101 for BBC etc???

Seems like a good option for me....

Yeah just connect cables to sky box and then HDMI to TV.

And go through the setup process by entering the postcode of the UK region you require.

Just to update.... I got the white Sky+ box connected to the tv and it working perfectly. I can't believe my luck!!!!

Had to do some googling to get the remote working with it but eventually cracked it.

So thanks for the above.... I still might have to invest in the above Amazon set should my joy be shortlived!!
