    Hi,

    My mother is considering converting her playschool into a granny flat for herself and my dad. It’s attached to the side of their house, it was previously a garage that they converted and extended.
    Does anyone know if they would need planning permission for change of use from commercial back to residential?

    what LA?
    Many LA's wont allow the separate entrance: IIRC DCC don't

    PP is required

    Dublin city council. They don’t need a separate entrance as myself and my partner are moving into the main house.
