It is now time to make a stand and reform the deeply flawed Irish education system?
The glorious minister wants a world class education system and so do we the Irish people but while he is happy to proceed with the current system with all its flaws. We are not, an election is brewing and that means a window of opportunity to call for change, an academic report has been published with remedies clearly outlined you can find the report here...

    Sahlberg Report
In 2012, an international review panel was established to examine the structure of initial teacher education provision in Ireland. Prior to commencing its deliberations, a background report was commissioned and provided by Prof Áine Hyland, a recognised expert in the field.

This clearly states some of the action required for change, but it will be half implemented or ignored as many reports before but you are the teacher working on the ground and you can see the real problems.
Now is the time to call on your inner Pearse and help draft a proclamation for teachers all over Ireland. We will unite as dedicated professionals and print out the final version and place it on every staff notice board in the country?
