Hi, Is there any such thing as a list of people in an orphanage in Cork on the 1911 Census? Or any such records elsewhere. What places like these existed in 1911 does anyone know?
    Any help much appreciated!

Everyone in institutions including orphanages was recorded in the census. If you know the location of the orphanage you can find out who was resident there.

I am not able to post a link, but you may find a reference to such benevolent institutions of the time, on the website: CORK PAST AND PRESENT.IE --- under the "1910: (Guy's) City & County Almanac and Directory"

The "1881: Index to Public Institutions" offers a listing of various orphanages and institutions, which may assist you in locating a potential match from the 1910 almanac, then cross-referencing addresses with names on the 1911 census.
