Hi to all, I was just putting this post out there to see if anybody knows where to get spinners that don't cost as much as the mepps. They are costly spinners especially if you get them snagged up etc ... i know you get what you pay for, so mepps spinners are faultless in performance wise...but price wise it's expensive enough..as I was told by the guy in ABC fishing tackle shop Dublin they stopped stocking the mepps spinners due to the price of them, been so pricey people were not buying them. So does anyone make there own spinners small 0 spinners or is there a cheaper alternative to the mepps. I don't know, maybe the minnows are looking tempting now to throw on the hook and wouldn't be expensive to lose!!

In all honesty, I've only really used mepps spinners. Great great spinners for trout and perch. Savage Gear Rotex Spinners may be a cheaper alternative, I've never used them, but savage gear makes great pike gear.

The rublex celta imo are the best all round mepps style spinners. I'd put the over mepps any day
