Sounds like a huge loss of fish on the Ollatrim River, last week with the authorities saying that it may take several years to recover.

If this is traced, how severe are the penalties ?

I'd say the penalty should warrent enough fines and legal action to break the perpetrators financial security for life.

An absolute shame. While the story may change as more facts emerge there seems to be a hint that it was a chemical disposal. Shocking that someone would thing it was appropriate to use a natural water source for disposal.
