Tax relief on rental expenses has been removed for a long time now.

Claiming back your med expenses is available for 2017 and before. Im not in front of my pc now so I'll check back later for you.

Thank you very much for quick reply.
Pity rent expenses has been removed. Somebody was saying I could claim for flat rate expenses.

I think your mixing things up a bit.
Certain employees can get 'flat rate' expenses depending on their employments.
For example surveyors can claim approx €200pa.
PS general ops get approx €75 pa

These flat rates are a relief which certain unions/associations have negotiated over the years and which now have been applied to a whole host of industries.

Depending on your job your 'flat rate' could range from appro €70 to €500

Rent tax credit only finished up in 2017 . But you had to be renting on 7th December 2010 latest , in order to claim .
So if you were renting from 2010 , you can still claim rent tax credit for 2014-2015-2016-2017
