How big a job to reorient this door?

When i had my garden room built i asked that the shed door (door on the left) open out to give more space inside, the office door (on right opens in).

Turns out that was a bad idea, no matter how they tried to adjust it the shed door is catching slightly when it opens, needs a big shove to close properly and the 'chrome' on the hinges which is a coating on the uPVC is starting to wear.

What id like to do is have the door open inwards. looks like the whole thing just needs to come out and be turned around, that will mean the handle is on the opposite side to the other door (not an issue i dont think)

my qn is, how big a job is this?

An hours work for an experienced DIY'er or a full day where half the garden room needs to come down?

    Two issues:
1: the door is not shutting properly so what makes you think switching it around will help.
Have you asked them how much to do it: since there is a problem I cant see anyone else touch ing it.

ps no hose pipe ban in Dalkey?

its catching on the trim around the edge of the door on the outside, i dont think it would catch if it was opening inwards.

i can ask them to do it but i wanted to get an idea first.

im pretty sure the hose pipe ban was national, but im also sure that there is no law against being lazy and not putting an unused hose away :pac:

which one the kiddies play house or the one with the shonky door :P

i had the shed and office built by a guy recommended to me by my painter and he did an excellent job, the door was my call to be fair.

the playhouse is from funshog (i think) from louth, keep the play dough outside :pac:

Can’t help but the office/shed is exactly what I’m looking into at the moment. Can you give a ball park figure on the cost?

Not that big a job actually, you’d need to drill new drainage holes fill the existing ones and fit a weather strip to the bottom of the door.
