Hi. I dont know anything about this subject so im after a little advice.

My wife has about 600 euro of Tesco PLC shares . A group called equiniti are holding them.

We have been trying to get money for what they are worth but they will not deal with us .

They say we need a broker.

How do we go about getting a broker, and are the fees expensive?

    Thanks

It might get expensive. Ask current company how much they will charge to transfer shares to other broker.
Check Degiro requirements to transfer shares: https://www.degiro.ie/helpcenter/faq/portfolio-transfer/1123
When you'll know all the costs associated with transfer and that there are no other issues - your best bet would be to open account with Degiro, deposit 10 euros activate it, transfer shares, sell it, withdraw money and close account.
