Am I reading it right to think that I can still use Swiftkey, but all the data will be held locally and not in the cloud?

TBH, that's probably a big advantage to me. I was starting to get a bit uncomfortable that anyone else would have full access to all my keyboard history. I know if I change phone, I won't have my dictionary changes or personal history available to me, but there's not a huge number of those.
