Don't have the TV so must be bored.
I don't think you can get those.

I looked up the manual, it's here:
    http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201801/20180123102314699/ENG_US_KTMATSCL-3.0.8.pdf

Doesn't seem to have an web browser built in so can't open the players web sites.

Says there's apps so I thought maybe that meant like the google app store.. so maybe you could download the players there... but now I don't think so.
I looked for a website to search their apps but can't find one and then I found this guy asking the same question and being told ya can only have what apps samsung offer:
    http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-3473788/download-apps-samsung-smart.html

I'd say ye're stuck just tuning in the channels or getting a separate media box.

Probably not going to help but I'll suggest it anyway to rule it out: have you set up the TV as UK instead of Ireland?

Hi there. I'm thinking of buying a Q8 QLED and I'm wondering did you ever get the rte player app or similar on your tv?

If its like the older model I have there'll be an RTE Player app in its app store. Similarly there'll be ones for Netflix and others.

The Player is pretty rubbish though in general. Constantly freezing and reloading.. But the 90 seconds of ads before it starts the live stream always work funny enough

Typically this can be because of the region selected when setting up the TV. If you set it up as a UK TV in order to access Freesat then you won't be able to access Irish applications.
