Hi, I am looking for a 5” or less Android Phone for my mum, with a price range between €150 to €300. I would prefer SIM free, but it will be on the Vodafone network due to coverage. She would like a decent battery life. €400 at a stretch. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I've got people Moto G's and they've been happy with them, they perform well. G5 is 5 inch screen

Keep in mind that as screen size has been increasing, bezels have being srinking. Therefore larger screens may still be a contender.

Maybe take a look at the Nokia 5.1 (2018 model). It has a 5.5 inch screen, but might be compact enough.

Also as above the Moto G5 series from 2017 (newer G6 series are larger)

Also you'll pick up a 2017 Samsung A3 with 4.7" or A5 5.2" for quite cheap from Amazon (try Amazon.de)

That website would be so much more popular if it had a better name.

Funny how the OP bumped this thread after only 45 minutes (humph), yet hasn't posted since people have taken time to reply.

Maybe we should have ignored the thread after the unnecessary bump ;-)

it's a technique that works, most people ignore threads until there is at least one reply

I got a Huawei P20 Lite for €299. Its a pretty great little phone and does everything I need. I'm not a power user or phone gamer so it works fine for the sort of apps your Mum will use :)

    Hey all,

Sorry for not replying sooner. Thanks for the all the recommendations. I'll do some homework now that I have some handsets to consider, and talk with my mum.

Cheers hopefully you see something there.
Personally I'd recommend the Samsung A3 as a small phone especially if it's for your mum and she wants the smaller screen.

It has a 5.2" screen, but maybe have a look at the Sony Xperia XA2. It's on Amazon UK for £248, and Amazon Italy for €269.90.

https://www.phonearena.com/phones/size is a handy tool and complementary to kimovil.

I have one of these too - the original 2015 version. Best phone I've ever had. Have it 3 years now. i was worried about the battery not being replaceable, but it is lasting a lot better than earlier phones I had.
