    Hey folks,

Does anybody know of a photolab in Dublin that would be open on a Sunday?

I'm faced with the usual dilemma of of only having time for photography on a Saturday, but having to wait until Monday to get them developed 😔

If its B&W then just get a small dark bag and developing tank yourself with some chemicals. It's not that hard, more anxiety inducing the first few times.

Once you get the chemical dilutions right and developing times for the film type its easy. Works out about E1 a roll if you do it right as well.

I already have all the B&W equipment. I don't have C41 gear/chemicals, which is why I'm asking for a lab

Camera Center on Grafton Street is the answer. And they do 120 film.

If you're doing a lot of c-41 https://www.ag-photographic.co.uk/fuji-hunt-c41-x-press-kit-5l-680-p.asp is yer only man. I used to get it from that fujicare place on Abbey street, but they for some reason can't (or don't want to) get it at a reasonable price anymore, ag-photographic is a great shop though, second only to our own thephotoshop.ie :-)

Doing c-41 is, if anything, easier that B&W cos there's just one set of chemicals and one process. No fiffing and faffing over whether to use XTOL or Rodinal, or whether to push or stand or ...

I used to make it up 500ml at a time, now I make up 5x 1L bottles of the dev when I get it and use them over the course of, say 7/8 months or so, re-using each bottle for a month or month and a half before tossing it.

Though you also need a good scanner, I have a coolscan for 35mm & a hoary old 4990 for medium and large format.
