Do I need a car in Split

    I am going to Split for a week on Saturday. Given that the country will be in party mode for a few days, I was thinking I should hire a car to do a bit of sightseeing outside the town.

    Any thoughts on buses over cars (but will the country be in shutdown mode!)?
    Anyone know a good car hire company?

    Hiya Percy, spent over 2 weeks there last year, done the entire coast. Split is nice by the coast but a week would be far to long there imo. A car is well worth the investment we felt. If you use the search box above and type - Croatia.. recommendations , you'll find a decent enough thread from this time last year that may help a little
