Where would one go for a good steak in the city?

McGettigans is usually my go-to place for a nice steak, lovely staff too!

Cornstore have really good meat. Really good.
    Not cheap though.
Steak on a stone in Bella Italia is good as well for a change

Had the Cowboy steak in there, can't complain.

I don’t know the name of the place, but it’s downstairs below street level, with a Western theme.

Been twice and enjoyed the steak there

Glad to know that place is still doing well, had some memorable evenings in there.

    Great steaks and great staff.

    +1 on the Cornstore.

The Tap House can do a good one at times.

I have not heard good things about Brimstone but I haven't tried it either to be fair. I hear Bobby Byrnes do a decent sirloin.
La Piccola Italia do filet medalions in a creamy pepper sauce with chipped potato which is very good for a slightly different take on a traditional steak. Not bad value if had with the set menu either.

Had a lovely t-bone in Mejana a while back.

Ironically, the Texas Steakhouse is actually very average for steak.

Nicest steak I ever had in Limerick was in the Castletroy Park.

Freddy's, Azur and Cornstore all do good steaks.

The Texas & Brimstone are below average at best.

    Crap.

I had it twice (never base a place on a single visit in case they just have an off night) and it was rubbish both times.

Wouldn't recommend at all. Been there for lunch a few times, and they can't even get a vol-au-vent right. A friend of mine got steak there before, and swore it was the worst he's ever got.

Cornstore is very good in fairness, as is Freddys and Azur.

I had an unexpectedly delicious steak in the Curragower last week with a deep fried poached egg and a really good meaty sauce.
