How exactly do job panels work. My wife recently went for an interview with Tusla and was just told she was accepted on to the panel. She said she was told she was number 85 on the panel but this makes me think she's unlikely to get a position? Can anyone shed any light on the situation? We had been planning on leaving our current house and moving but we're not sure what to do now

She should have been send some information about how the panel works. Is it a local panel e.g. Dublin - Mid Leinster or a national one?

Basically the panel will have a set lifetime and any vacanies of that grade that require to be filled will be offered to people on the panel in order of their number.E.g. If there are currently 4 vacancies the people on number 1 to 4 will be offered them first. If three of these people take up a vacancy and one doesnt then there will be an offer to the person who is number 5. To be honest I would be surprised if someone with a number in the 80's would get an offer but you never know.

You shouldn’t quote panel number positions online.

    Hi all

A friend of mine and myself completed the interviews five weeks ago. We were told that we would be told “usually within two weeks of the last interview date” which was the 7th of June and we are still waiting is this normal? Any info would be really helpful
