Sky SCART or RF out to DVB-T?

I have this Thompson Sky Box which has RF 2 output (includes pass-through for aerial) and also has SCART connections.

I have a HDhomerun DVB-T tuner presently being fed by that aerial whose output is fed to tvheadend to manage distribution to client boxes.

I want to try, with as little cost as possible, to be able to tune in the output from the Sky box in the HDHomerun and controlled by Tvheadend similar to the Saorview channels.

What would be the best (least costly) approach to add this box to the mix?

Yes I know the output quality will not be good (SD only), but nonetheless I want to play with it (hence cost sensitive) to see.

    Suggestions? ..... please.

Anything in this line will be expensive.

Why do you want the output from the Sky box?

I like to try different things, so it would be a learning experience as well as maybe providing an extra channel for clients on the LAN. (could use an eir sports card in it).

So, not important, but I am interested in how it could possibly done at a reasonable cost.

Cheapest route is likely to be analogue/composite video capture via your TVHeadend setup. Probably would require capture hardware with built in MPEG2/4 encoding.

    Thanks for that suggestion.
I must examine that possibility ... I might even have the SCART adapter and a USB video capture device someplace.

That provides me something to play with :D

    Thanks.
