If house on private scheme do you still pay irish water bill?
If water allowance goes above domestic allowance do you become business customer automatically

    Hi Ozzyrosie,

Irish Water is responsible for the public water supply only and private supplies are outside of our remit.

If a domestic property shows higher than normal usage, we send a letter stating that they may have a leak on their property. Commercial accounts have to be registered with Irish Water as they will have an exceedingly high usage compared to a domestic property.

    Kind regards,
    Niamh
