Reduced water pressure at night time.

I understand that restrictions during the day would impact business especially the catering/hospitality sector but I’m highly dubious of this having any benefit during the night. On the other hand though it would minimise the amount of water getting lost.
I know if my pressure was halved here during the day I’d still be able to wash my body, clothes, cooking etc.

Can we please completely stay off the topic of charges please. They can neither make it rain or prevent drought. There’s plenty of other threads on here to have that debate.

This thread is about effective ways to go about preserving water in these rare weather conditions.

Reducing pressure will mean less water is wasted through the leaks
