Sky Q work without account

Hi, I have Sky Q but going to cancel the account. I know with Sky+ box it would continue to work with freeview channels but just wondering does the Sky Q work the same?

No, the box is on loan to you and must be returned once you cancel. Read your contract - http://www.sky.com/ireland/__PDF/SkyQ_Contracts_ROI_xLaunch_versionx.pdf
