Urgently looking for 1 or 2 Point of Lay (or thereabouts) Perkins, any colour but white.
We have a mid sized urban garden in which we have kept 2 hens for a number of years. Our original hen died last night (she was 7!) and the one remaining hen is lost/confused/lonely (not to mention upset family)
We are in Athenry but would drive up to an hour to get some new companions for our lonely lady :-(
    Can anyone help?

It's not quite what you are asking for but there is a sanctuary running a hen rescue (taking hens that would have been killed from a farm). I couldn't say what breed they would be, but can pm you the rescue's name if you are interested?

Thanks, I’m familiar with the rescue hen operation but Perkins are a bantam breed, plus they don’t scratch the ground, so are very suited to an urban garden.
