Crows are ravenous at the moment - drought getting to them I'd say

I see a couple of lads putting grease on them and they don't touch them.

I cover the bales with net every year great job , 30 min work and no worries

We would have problems as soon as they are made in the field but once in the yard the crows never bother with them.

Are the bales stacked in the field or yard? Never any problems here once the bales are stacked in the yard.

Crows will only drink water from a static source they would die of thirst before they drink from running water.

I have a cat that will only drink from the dogs bowl......nothing to do with the crows though.

Why do you think crows die in warm weather? No puddles to drink from. Maybe you could put up a picture of a crow drinking from the river.
