So basically the gas only comes up as far as one end of our kitchen (we have a galley style one as the other end that has no gas is a single storey extension)

Our current cooker is bottle gas (since we moved in 17 years ago) and I'd like to just put the whole lot on our natural gas supply.

Anyone any idea where I would start and costs?

You will need to get a Registered Gas Installer to do any of that work for you.
Go to the "find an installer" section of www.RGII.ie and a get a few different quotations.
Or you can post here the general area where you live and someone may be able to recommend someone for you.
