Which is best side to sit on the train from Dublin to Westport, better views of the countryside etc etc?

For example Dublin to Galway it's definitely the left side of the train facing forward, I wonder is it the same to Mayo?
    TIA

I don't know, but maybe tell people what you want to see (farmland, parallel roads/rivers, lakes, interesting forests, mountains, geology) and you might get more of a response.

I'd say the "inside", but with this weather.......

I'd recommend sitting on your backside. It's by far the comfiest option.

Na it's not until next month so it'll be raining by then, or by Sunday apparently

    You'd choke on exhaust fumes.

Take the right side, if your not happy with the view move to a free seat on the left. Note if booking online right/left is not guaranteed and will depend on the train position on the day.

Left is grand for about 5-6 miles into Galway there is no difference IMO for the rest of the journey.
