Anniversary gift - Ladies watch (white face, leather strap, simple design)

    Hi All,

I'm trying to find a ladies watch for an anniversary gift. The person in question has what I consider to be fairly simple taste but this is proving hard to find - an uncomplicated white face, silver bezel (but would consider gold) and a leather strap that is not black and not alligator/crocodile leather.

Essentially, this exact watch except for the strap

An example of the preferred type of strap (and watch except for the silver face and diamonds).

Could any of you helpful folk point me towards something very similiar please? I don't want to buy a strap separately. Movement doesn't matter to the person but I think an automatic would be bit nicer :)

    Budget is 800-1100 euro.

    Cheers!

This should be easy enough. just but the watch (Longines) you know she will like. The easiest bit will be getting the strap you know she will like.
Any jewelers , fastfix etc. would change the strap over for a tiny fee.

The Lug width is 16mm on the Longines. Have a google for straps with that lug width and the world is your oyster.

Ok it's 100 over your budget, and about 6mm bigger than the Longines

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Nomos’ Ludwig 33 would be far more similar. You’ll find them new on C24 for just over a grand. Another manual though and also small seconds.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I should have mentioned that I'm not in Ireland so adverts isn't an option as I'd prefer to buy (the watch itself) in a brick and mortar shop. Which probably rules out the Nomos' linked, although they are very nice.

I'm coming around to the idea of buying a strap separately. I've checked the resource links for strap sellers, are there one or two that come particularly highly recommended? Alternatively, has anyone personal experience of using some Amazon sellers?

just wondering why bricks and mortar? the likes of Nomos, Stowa, etc are all online and are fantastic..great support, Customer Service

I live in a non-EU country and the duties and taxes on imported high value items make it more worthwhile to physically go to the store. I also don't speak the main spoken language very well so I try to avoid dealing with customs / post office as much as possible.

You should be able to get the vat back so, approx 20% on a new watch.

Well, despite saying I'd prefer to neither buy online nor buy a strap separately, I did both in the end :pac:

The watch I got in the end Chrono24 and the strap Nomos

Turns out I can pay the extra non-EU duties online without needing to interact with customs so online worked well in the end.

Thanks to all again for your help.

20% less what I have to pay here, so ~11% all told. Still, not to be sniffed at!
