#Laoisrocks - Rock Painting in Laois

    I have started a FB group - Laois Rocks

    & I'm looking for people to join and take part in making, hiding and finding painted rocks in Laois and beyond. Anyone, not just people in Laois can join in, just post your finished rocks and found rocks to the FB page.
    The idea is simple -

    Travelling rocks/kindness rocks have been a craze in the US and Europe. You decorate rocks and then hide them with instructions on what to do when they are found.
    The idea is the finder takes a photo of the rock - posts it online to the Facebook group - Laois Rocks and rehides the rock in a new location. Anyone can paint a rock and join in, anyone can hunt for rocks and if you find one you can hide it anywhere - even in another country if you like! The idea is to let the rock artist know when their rock has been found and it’s fun to see how far a rock can travel from its original hiding place.
    This summer lets see if we can Laois rocking and sign up to the Laois Rocks Facebook Group today.
    Organize a rock painting party in your estate or community centre or with your friends and family. Anyone young or old can join in. Rocks can be decorated with anything you like - paints, pens, temporary tattoos, ink, decoupage etc. Just be sure they will survive a shower of rain!
    Put your rocks in parks, forests, trails, on the ground or even in a tree - it’s up to you.
    If you need rock labels they can be collected from Make and Create Laois on Peppers Lane, Portlaoise.
