Prickly heat rash

As I was abed days in the hottest times and thus sweating a lot, I developed a very widespread area of prickly heat rash. Back, front, armpit I had no idea how painful this condition is. Vaguely related to shingles I now learn which makes sense. Anyone else suffering this?
