    Hi,

Hoping someone can help (apologies if it’s a silly question!). I’ve just bought a house, there’s no hob top but there is a cut out for one, the cut out measures 60x48, what size hob top do I go for 60cm or 70cm?

    Thanks,
    K

It would better to look at what size cut out is required for replacement hob and choose one that fits ok, when I fitted my hob, there was only one centimetre overlap between the edge and the cut-out.
I found that I needed to be very precise with the cutting to avoid an oversized hole, so look for one as close to those dimensions as possible.

The cutout has a 60 side. Therefore its too wide for a 60 hob. I'd say you need to be looking at 70cm units.
