    Hi
Looking for some advice, I'm looking to extend my house downstairs and extending one of the bedrooms upstairs, some small reconfiguring to the house.
To me it's really important to have a well designed extension rather than loads of extra badly designed space.

I've contacted a number of architect however they aren't interested as it's too small a job .
I found a design service that do up plans and CAD drawings these are then given to a builder. One concern I have here is if we hit issues during the build we are flying solo
    Or
I've found a company that do everything from start to finish . Concern here is if they aren't great all elements are tied to them.

Anyone any advice or approached a project another way

There are many different ways of doing this
But ultimately as you said, the Finalised Design has to be right for your needs and up to all relevant standards/regulations
