Plans were announced again recently, a year after being announced the first time, to open a boat hotel on the river Liffey in Dublin.

Planned to be placed in front of the Custom House, it is the MV Naomh Eanna, a former ferry that served the Aran Islands.

You can see it in all it's ahem glory in the grand canal.

In many ways we don't appreciate the main River in our capital, or even acknowledge it.
It will be interesting to see nonetheless.

    In recent years I've...
    * Been to a party on La Peniche canal boat
    * Taken Dublin Bay Cruises to Howth & Dun Laoghaire
    * Had dinner and drinks on the MV Cill Airne @The Convention Centre

Had a great time at all of them, but they are a bit pricey.

    Still to do...
    * Take the little boat out to Ireland's Eye

I'm intrigued about the new hotel boat but think it might be hard to justify the price of staying there even after a 3Arena gig.
