Last year we got a letter in the post saying up to 100mb was available in my estate. I upgraded my fibre to this. But ever since , the speeds are slightly worse. I was getting speeds of 9/10 download.
Now I’m getting anywhere from 4-7.5mbps download. I’ve rang Eir a few times in previous months but got nowhere.
Last weekend my neighbour changed to Vodafone. I can pick up speeds of 28 in my house using her WiFi. I rang eir again. Finally got talking to a knowledgeable person who told me my line will physically only handle a download speed of 9 and if she increased it, the service would be intermittent

This is a disgraceful service. Why did we bother to upgrade? The service is probably worse than the original broadband we had with ye. It’s probably so we’d start a new contract. Extremely disappointed
