I have 2 acres of old meadow that has not been cut in several years because of its position and the size of the machinery nowadays. It is currently full of weeds and grass. This year I have access because of the weather. Is it worth spraying to try and bale on the 1st of August. Or should I just cut tomotrow.?

Cut tomorrow, leave grow a bit after that, fire out a bit of very when rain comes, spray for weeds then and bale again in September?

Alot of marginal land being cut around here. Farmers baling Callagh hay. Other years they would go to their necks on it.

If you own the land and if the stuff bales turns out to be rubbish at least it could be used as cheap bedding. No point letting it idle.
