Was in Supermac's yesterday and noticed a red "**NEW***" beside their veggie burger so gave it a try. It's a nice step up from the old one, in a much more substantial bun and tasty toppings. They also give a choice of sauces.

They've hiked the price up too though... €4.95 or €7.95 for the meal.

It's faking meat. It tastes better than the old greasy one.

I'd like to see a decent veggie burger. U know with veggies in it.

It's apparently sweet potatoes, broccoli and lentils shaped into a patty, sounds like it's made of veggies, no?

Potatoe? Never seen it spelled quite like that before! :pac:
Looks & sounds nice though, would often have a veggie burger instead of meat for a chance.

Ok. I didn't know what it was made from. It's got no sign of those ingredients when you're eating it. How do they make it so chewy?

Its choice and I'm all for that.

Had a new Veggie (sweet potato) burger in Eddie Rockers.

Was good but I think cost 8.50!!!

Have you even eaten the new burger?

Yes, it is chewy. Much darker, denser and less greasy than the previous one.

Is the new Supermac's Veggie burger vegan? OR, do Supermac's provide online DETAILED list of ingredients in this product

The new SuperMacs Veggie Burger is Vegetarian but not Vegan.

    Response to query from SuperMacs

"Unfortunately the new veggie burger is not suitable for vegans as it contains whey protein, which comes from milk."

Never seen change spelled like that either.

Was just pointing out that it's not the typical spelling. Which is strange for a product which is being marketed all over Ireland, most likely with a multi-million advertising team behind it.

€8 for that? You want to be well drunk after the pubs to buy it.
