    Hi,

Having a strange issue with above machine.

Buddy of mine has one he wiped it (Via f2 and security wipe I KNOW I KNOW) he couldn't fix it and I obviously inherited the problem

Now its telling me BOOTMGR is missing

I have tried to restore windows from USB but each and evertime I try it, she goes back to BOOTMGR is missing.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Bazzy

What was the goal here? He wanted to completely wipe the system to give it to someone else?

I think your option here is probably going to be to reinstall Windows (7/8/10) on this system and start from a clean slate. If that's the case then create a Windows boot USB and just format the hard drive and let Windows sort itself out.

    Hi,

He was trying to wipe it.

A new install is the only option but I cant get far enough to create the disc.

I have a new copy of windows 7 on a USB but the laptop wont access the USB it recognises it when you try access it, it goes straight to BOOTMGR

The BOOTMGR problem should not prevent you from booting from USB. I think you have either created the USB incorrectly, or perhaps this is a boot order issue?

You know you have to use the media creation tool thingy, not just copy the iso to the stick?
