Playing a bit of catch-up on this topic, I feel.  I've had a look around boards  but can't see any recent posts on this.
The small print on the Thomas Cook website indicates that, "This Site is intended for use only by users who access it from the UK.  The information and prices on this site only apply to users who make a booking from the UK. "
So, am I right in saying that a booking made from Spain, Ireland, wherever outside the UK is a no-no? Are they strict on that policy, anyone know?
    TIA.

I know people who have booked them from ROI and flew out of NIRL without issue, also know people who booked UK departures and connected to these flights at their own expense from Irish airports with also no problem.

Your main problem is if anything goes wrong everything will be based on return to UK starting point and if you are availing of a seperatly booked connecting flight and it's late you will have zero comeback.

The EU voted a few months ago to outlaw geo blocking as they felt it was contrary to the principles of the free market, but I’ve no idea if anything has been enacted, if so I’d doubt its legal. Either way it certainly would be unlikely to stand up to scrutiny

Thanks for the responses, folks. Geo-blocking is becoming a pain in my online experience of late.
Just engaged in a live chat with Thomas Cook that went along expected lines; that you need need a UK registered card along with a UK billing address or alternatively you could have someone call into a local Thomas Cook store & book there.
    Faaantastic....

Eu law would say it’s it allowed to state that.

Mods - my thread duplicated on me for some reason. Could you please merge the comment from @ted1 above onto the original thread here https://www.boards.ie/b/thread/2057888720#107442638 & delete this one?
