Blood Work & Supplementing

    Hi,
I want to get my blood tested, to find out if in deficient in any areas, do I need supplements, etc.

Would a regular GP do this for me?

Also, I've been thinking about doing some research into undertaking a keto diet. But who would be best to talk to about this?

I wouldn't think GP's are experts on the matter of diet, and I don't think a gym instructor would be a subject matter expert either.

I'm just wondering is there a special type of profession that brings all these things together (blood work, diet, supplementing, etc.), Somebody who would be on the cutting edge of science and health.

I don't mind paying either, your health is your wealth!

    Cheers!

Your GP can take blood samples and request tests like iron, vitamins, folic acid, calcium, magnesium etc.

A dietician may be the best person to talk to about a keto diet. Your GP may be able to refer you to one.

a GP or a nurse can take samples for general tests, yes.

    - then if you'd need more specialized tests (lets say hematology), they would send you to other specialists to get them done in hospital.
