what are these insect eggs?

found these in a crack in a fence panel and am concerned about woodworm - are these eggs possibly woodworm?
the eggs seem to be covered in silky fine mesh also.

More than likely spiders eggs.....

Spider eggs. Woodworm are beetle larvae, and the female lays eggs in to cracks and holes in timber well out of sight.

hi thanks for replies,
the eggs were out if sight i pulled back some of the wood to reveal the eggs, there was only a thin crack on the left. eggs were inside the crack and i pulled some out for the pic

Still spiders. Woodworm eggs are not covered in silk webbing. You may not have woodworm but you certainly have some wood rot.
