    All
I'm in the market for a long reach trimmer.
    Either new or 2nd hand.

I've around 300ft of hedge to cut and its close on 12ft now so I need to take it down to around 10 ft.
I had a Stihl hedge cutter but it was too dangerous trying to over reach.

So now I'm looking for long reach.

I've looked at Petrol but also might look at the rechargeable.
They are pricey so that is a factor. I can't spend 500 euros on it.

So I'm looking to hear of peoples experiences and recommendations.

    Thanks

The cheap multi tool strimmer units that include a chainsaw and hedge trimmer for under €200 are OK. The downside is that you really do need a few DIY mechanic skills to keep them going. Mine starts perfectly but has a carb problem (must get a new one only a tenner on ebay) so needs constant fiddling with to get it to pick up to full power - like that from new.
