    Hi there,
Just wondering can you give notice to a registrar and give the date for the ceremony (registry office), and then afterwards change the date? How fixed is it?

    Thanks :)

We did it in the last few months. One phone call to the office in Dublin, and five minutes later we had a new date and time set.

Once you have your marriage certificate issued you have 6 months from that date.

Witnesses/registar/venue can all be changed on the day on the certificate. Signed then by all 5 parties and DOB if new witnesses.

    Check out the HSE website.

From the wedding date on the certificate, not the date the cert is issued - just to be clear.
