So our daughter is turning 5 later this month. The last couple of years we've had a party in a play centre with a party package. You know tree usual, couple of hours running round the play centre, then a 'party' with cake & dancing for an hour. Usually around €150 for 11 kids (birthday girl + 10 friends), and they charge €15 per additional child.

With this year's guest list now at 16 kids, we're considering something different.

    Any suggestions?

A local community center or hall do the food yourself and get a teenager to lead a dancing-themed event, something based on pitch perfect would be very popular with girls or get a someone to do nail painting.
