Thermostat & oil burner

    Hi :)

I would like to ask to you if you can help me to understand if it's a good idea add the thermostat at my heating system.

I live in a big countryside house.

There is an oil burner (kerosene) and a lot of radiators. I'm trying to improve my heating system, trying to spend less money the next winter.

I work at home, so I can't keep the heating system off during the day. The past winter I used turn it on in the morning for 2 hours, then keep it off till the evening.

I was freezing, and I used a lot of kerosene, anyway.

But I'm not sure if with a thermostat, it will be better, because in fact the oil burner will be constantly on.

Could you help me to understand? Thank you :)
